    • Rubie Jane Eustis Bienvenu Gatlin died in Chesterfield VA December 7th, 2014. She was born in New Orleans, LA on December 30, 1938 to her loving parents, Clifford H. Eustis and Margaret Inez Belyea (of New Brunswick, Canada), and was a resident of the Chesterfield area of Virginia since 1976. She was the mother of four sons, Gary L. Bienvenu, Jr., MD, Richard E. Bienvenu (Lisa), Matthew D. Bienvenu (Maria), and the late Brent E. Bienvenu. She is survived by two sisters, Sandra E. Mensi and Margaret E. Kirn (both of New Orleans), six grandchildren, nieces, one nephew, cousins and many devoted friends. She was a gifted teacher who instilled the love of music in her many young piano students. She was an avid gardener and made the world a more beautiful place. A Memorial was held at the Brandermill Church in Midlothian, VA December 15th. A Eucharist will be celebrated in thanksgiving for her life at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 6249 Canal Blvd., in New Orleans Monday, December 22 at 11 AM. Visitation will precede the service at 10:30 AM. Interment at the Masonic Cemetery, New Orleans, La.
